How to Change the Display Brightness on Windows 11 PC (Settings Tutorial)
You can adjust the screen brightness on your Windows 11 PC using a couple of methods:
Quick Settings Menu:
Click the Quick Settings button in your taskbar (it’s the hidden button located where you see Wi-Fi, Speaker, and Battery icons in the far-right corner).
Locate the brightness slider with a sun icon beside it.
Click (or tap) and drag the circle on the slider to increase or decrease the brightness of your built-in display.
The sun icon will grow larger or smaller depending on the brightness level you set.
Close the Quick Settings menu when you’re done.
Windows Settings:
Press Windows + I keys together to open the Settings app.
Click on System from the options on the left sidebar.
Select Display from the list of options on the right.
Under the Brightness & Color section, use the slider to raise or lower the brightness of your built-in display.
Close the Settings app when you’re finished.
If you’re using an external monitor without a built-in display, the brightness slider in Quick Settings may be unavailable (grayed out). In that case, you’ll need to use your monitor’s physical controls or graphics drivers to adjust the brightness. Refer to your monitor’s support website or documentation for specific instructions. Happy computing!
