Steps:

- Start by clicking the apple logo button at the top left of your screen. From there, open ‘sytem preferences’.

- In system preferences, click on ‘desktop and screensaver’.

- Here you can choose from a selection of default wallpapers.

- You can also use a solid color as your wallpaper. you can play around with the color tool to design your ideal solid color.

- You can also access photos from your photos folder.

- If you downloaded a picture that you want to use and its not in the photos folder.. Click the ‘plus’ button at the bottom and then select the image you want to use from file explorer.

- If you’re image doesnt fit the screen naturally, you can play around with the different display options here such as ‘fit to screen’ , ‘stretch to fill screen’ and ‘tile’.

- Its also possible to make the wallpaper change every so often, tap the change picture checkbox and then choose the time frame you want them to change.

- Another way of setting a wallpaper is to simply locate the image on your Mac, then right click and choose ‘set desktop picture’ , but doing it this way won’t give you any options to customise it.
