How to Change Your Name on FB Profile
0In this tutorial video, I will quickly guide you on how you can change your name on Facebook.
Once you open facebook.com make sure you're actually logged in it will if you're not logged in enter your username or your email and your password to log into your facebook account so once you're logged in your navigation your menu will somehow look like this as you can see this my this is my current name on the left hand side be more open now if i want to change this name i'm going to show you how the process is actually really really simple so do make sure to watch this video till the end it's not so as you can currently see my name is people personally on this facebook account now if i want to change this name simply follow the steps first on the right hand side you can see the icon the download like icon on the top right hand side or at the corner once you click on the icon it is going to show up a bunch of menus so here you want to click the first option which says settings and privacy once you click on settings and privacy again you will be bombarded with a bunch of options here again so here again you want to go to settings once you go to settings as you can see make sure you're in the general tab on the left hand side not on the security login not or not on your facebook information make sure you're on your general tab once you are on your general tab you can see the settings on the general tab which says general account settings here you can see your name your username your contact your ad account contact your memorialization settings and your authentic information so in this video we are going to simply learn how to change our name so to do that on the first option you can see the name uh you can see my current name over here if i want to change this name on the right hand side you can see the blue text which says edit or you can also see this icon simply click on edit and as you can see this is my current first name and my current last name so what you need to understand before changing your name is that you can see a note by facebook over here it says if you change the name on facebook you can't change it again for 60 days don't add any unusual capitalization punctuation characters or random words as you can see facebook has told you that once you change the name right now you won't be able to change it for the next 60 days or two months or so so make sure that you really want to change your name right now because if you do so you won't be able to change it for the next xd data so so let's assume currently this is my first name and last name let's say i want to change it to something like as you can see that this is the name which you may want to change to or which you might want to change to depending on your name so once you do that go ahead click on the left on the blue button which says review change on the bottom left so once you click on review change another message is going to pop up see you can see choose how your name will appear on your profile you will have three different options which says the first option will present opt be more and then muslim people which which simply removes the middle name and then you can see the last option so again it will save you a confirmation that you won't be able to change your name within the next 60 days so if you're happy with the new name please enter your password now here you need to enter your password because this is a confirmation by facebook to actually check if the person changing the name is actually the owner himself or not so if you want to change your name simply type your password and once you type your password click on save changes at the bottom right.
