To charge your PS5 controller with USB while the console is in rest mode, follow these steps:

Go to the home screen and select Settings - System.
Select Power Saving - Features Available in Rest Mode.
Set Supply Power to USB Ports to Always or 3 Hours.

Now, connect your controller to the console using the included USB cable to start charging. The light bar on your controller will blink orange while charging and turn off once charging is complete.
