To view your friends list and check when your buddies are online on the Nintendo Switch, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Home Screen of your Nintendo Switch.
Access System Settings by scrolling down and selecting it at the bottom of the screen.

In the sidebar, choose Notifications.
Select Friend Notifications on the right pane.
Choose the profile for which you want to enable Friend Notifications.
Tap Friend Request Notifications to turn the settings on.

Once you’ve enabled Friend Notifications, you’ll see a blue dot next to friends who are currently online. Now you’ll always know when Bob, Diane, Rick, and Josie are ready for some Minecraft Realms world-building or any other gaming adventures!
