Apple AirTags are great location trackers that can help you keep track of your keys, wallet, purse, pets, and so much more. However, it's important to monitor the battery level of your AirTags and replace them if they get low. This will ensure that when you lose something and need to use your Apple AirTag to find it, you'll be able to see the most recent location. The only caveat is that with the release of iOS 15.6 you'll no longer be able to see your AirTag battery level unless your battery is low.
Now let's walk through the steps to check the battery level of your Apple AirTag.
Step 1. Launch the Find My app on your iPhone or iPad. You'll land on your Find My home screen.
Step 2. Tap "Items" in the menu along the bottom of the screen. You'll land on the Items screen.
Step 3. Scroll down to the Items section, and then find the name of the Apple AirTag you want to check the battery level for. If you're Apple AirTag battery level isn't low then you won't see a battery level for your device. But, if your Apple AirTag battery is low, you'll see the battery level of the AirTag displayed next to the name of that tracker.
You can also tap the name of the AirTag in this list, and you'll land on an information screen where you'll see the battery level displayed in two places toward the bottom. Again, you'll only see battery information if your battery is critically low.
