Maybe your significant other runs the tech in your house and you don't actually know the wifi password. Or, maybe you're just having a memory lapse and can't remember where you put the wireless network password in case you forgot it. No matter the reason there is a simple option for seeing your wifi password in Windows 11 without having to either remember or find it.
Now let's walk through the steps to see your wifi password in Windows 11.
Step 1. Navigate to your Windows 11 home screen, and then click the "Windows" icon on the taskbar. The Windows Start menu is shown.
Step 2. Type "Control Panel" in the search box, and then click "Control Panel" in the list of results. The Control Panel screen is displayed.
Step 3. Click "Network and Internet." The Network and Internet screen is shown.
Step 4. Click "Network and Sharing Center." The Network and Sharing Center screen is displayed.
Step 5. Click the name of the wifi network you're currently connected to in the View Your Active Networks section. The Wi-Fi Status window pops up.
Step 6. Click "Properties" in the Activity section. The Wireless Network Property window is displayed.
Step 7. Click the "Security" tab to see the Security window. The password associated with your wireless network will be blocked out in the Network Security Key section.
Step 8. Click to place a check mark next to "Show Characters." Your wifi password will be displayed in that section.
