In the absence of any unit serialization, we are unable to identify one batch of AE from another. Thus, the only sure-fire way to check your unit for the presence of fiberglass wool insulation is to unscrew the top and pull it up.

In order to do this, simply remove the 4 screws on the top of the unit, and pull up the top to reveal the inner cavity.

NOTE: there are exceptions to the two pictures at the end of the video, as it seems there are people who have an interim stage fix where some type of insulation was fully wrapped in brown PTFE tape. If your heater core appears fully wrapped in a brown PTFE tape, that is likely the interim fix. I do not know whether or not it was fiberglass wool insulation used in those cases.

If you are a current Angus Enhanced owner and have concerns about the use of fiberglass wool insulation, simply reach out to your original purchase retailer, or YLLVape directly, to request a replacement unit that uses the new dual-layer metal tube insulator. 🕊
