Lesson Two:
Set-up:
Place the bot center stage, turn on Show Stun, Position Reset, and Damage Reset.
Exercise:
2.1
Experiment using sword to combo down light and recovery. Sword recovery allows you to move left and right during the attack, try to control Bodvar with accuracy. With the "Show Hitstun" option on the game will tell you if your attacks are a combo or not. A blue text line will appear telling you how many frames the bot was free of hitstun.
2.2
Learn to combo down light, jump, side air. If you do not press jump before the light attack button Bodvar will not jump at all. You may also fail to get a jump if you try too quickly after down light. Your goal is to input light attack as close to jump as possible, but not at the same time.
*If you are playing on a controller, I recommend a technique commonly referred to as "plinking". Instead of tapping the jump and light button with your thumb tip in a pecking motion, lay your thumb across the two buttons. Use the lower part of your thumb to jump, and the tip to attack in one fluid motion.

Get a hammer and practice down light, side light. Once you are able to do the combo enter the Bot Settings and turn Damage Reset off. As damage builds you'll notice that the bot is eventually sent out of range of side light. When this happens you will need to follow down light with a jump and side air.
*If you are too close to the opponent your side attack will whiff. In this case you need to use jump, down air.
2.4
Turn Damage Reset back on, and Set Damage to 200. Practice your down light, jump, side air combo. This is a very powerful option to secure a KO.
