How to Connect & Pair PS5 Controller to iPhone (Dualsense Tutorial)
To connect and pair a PS5 controller (DualSense) to an iPhone, follow these steps:
Requirements:
Your iPhone should be running iOS 14.5 or later for compatibility with the PS5 DualSense controller.
Make sure your controller is charged enough to stay on during the pairing process.
Steps to Connect:
Turn On Your iPhone's Bluetooth:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Tap on Bluetooth.
Ensure Bluetooth is toggled On (it will turn green).
Put the PS5 Controller in Pairing Mode:
Ensure the controller is turned off. You can do this by holding the PS button (the one with the PlayStation logo) until the light bar turns off.
Once off, simultaneously press and hold the PS button and the Create button (the button with three horizontal lines, located to the left of the touchpad) until the light bar starts flashing rapidly, indicating it's in pairing mode.
Pair the Controller with Your iPhone:
With Bluetooth settings open on your iPhone, wait for the controller to appear in the list under "Other Devices". It will show up as "DUALSENSE Wireless Controller".
Tap on the controller's name to pair it. Once paired, you'll see it move to the "My Devices" section with a "Connected" status.
Check Connection:
The light bar on the controller will stop flashing and might show a solid color, indicating it's connected. You can now navigate your iPhone using the controller's buttons or use it with compatible games or apps.
