How to Connect PS4 Controller to PS4 Console with Cable or Wireless (Easy Tutorial)
2Here's how to connect a PS4 controller to your PS4 console, either with a cable (wired) or wirelessly:
Wired Connection:
Ensure Your PS4 is On: Turn on your PS4 console.
Connect the Controller:
Use a USB cable (preferably the one that came with your PS4 or any micro-USB cable if you've lost the original).
Plug one end of the cable into the USB port on the front of the PS4 console.
Plug the other end into the micro-USB port on the top of the PS4 controller.
Automatic Recognition:
The controller should automatically turn on if it's off, and the PS4 console should recognize it immediately. You'll see the light bar on the controller light up, typically in blue, indicating it's connected and ready to use.
Controller Charging: While connected, the controller will also charge. If it was previously dead, you'll need to wait a bit for it to have enough power to operate.
