Video Transcript:
When the Google Home speaker was initially released, you had to almost literally jump through hoops to play audio from your iPhone or iPad through the powerful speaker. However, an update in 2017 addresses this issue, and makes it possible for users to pair their iPhone or iPad with their Google Home speaker in just a few seconds. Immediately after pairing, you'll be able to enjoy audio played from your iPhone or iPad on your connected Google Home speaker.

And now, let's walk though how to connect your iPhone or iPad to your Google Home speaker using Bluetooth.

Step 1. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your Apple iPhone or iPad. You can do this by swiping up on your device to open the command center. Locate the Bluetooth icon, which appears by default within the cluster of icons in the upper left corner of the screen. If the background color of the Bluetooth circle is white, tap it to make it blue to enable Bluetooth. If the background color of the Bluetooth circle is blue, that means Bluetooth is already turned on.

Step 2. Stand next to the Google Home speaker you want to pair with, and say, "Pair Bluetooth." Your Google Home speaker will tell you to open your device's Bluetooth settings and then look for the name of your Google Home speaker to connect to. Your Google Home speaker will tell you the specific name to look for. In this example, I'm looking for Living Room Home.

Step 3. Tap the "Settings" app on your iPhone or iPad home screen. The Settings screen opens.

Step 4. Tap "Bluetooth" toward the top of the Settings menu. The Bluetooth screen opens. Your Google Home Speaker appears in the Other Devices section toward the bottom of the screen.

Step 5. Tap the name of your Google Home speaker beneath Other Devices. In this example, I'll tap "Living Room Home." The device will automatically show up with a Connected status in the My Devices section.

Congratulations! You now know how to connect your iPhone or iPad to your Google Home speaker using Bluetooth.
