How to Connect Xbox Controller to Xbox Series X (First Time Tutorial)
0To connect an Xbox controller to an Xbox Series X, you have two options: a wired connection or a wireless connection. Here are the steps for each method:
Wired Connection:
Connect the USB-C cable to the controller.
Connect the other end of the cable to the USB port on the front of the console.
Press the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on.
The controller should automatically pair with the console.
Wireless Connection:
Insert batteries into the controller or connect a rechargeable battery pack.
Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on.
Press the Pair button on the front of the console. On the Xbox Series X, the Pair button is located on the front right, above the USB port. On the Xbox Series S, the Pair button is located on the front left, to the right of the USB port.
Within 20 seconds, press and hold the Pair button on the top of the controller until the Xbox button flashes a few times. That means it’s searching for a console.
Once the Xbox button stays lit, the controller is connected.
