To reset your Xbox Series X controller, follow these steps:

Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller for a couple of seconds to turn it off.

To reset the controller, hold the Sync button (located on the top of the controller, next to the USB-C port) for about 20 seconds. The controller will start vibrating and then it will reset itself.

Once the controller is reset, you can resync it with your Xbox Series X console. To do so, press the Pair button on the front of your console and then press the central button with the Xbox logo on the controller. Once the controller and console are linked, both lights will stop blinking.

If you’re still having issues with your controller, you can also try power cycling your console, checking your controller batteries, or connecting your controller to your console via USB-C
