Steps:

- This trick uses the shortcuts app to set a custom name and icon for any app. The shortcuts app should be installed by default on your iPhone but if its not then download it from the app store. It is called ‘Shortcuts’ published by Apple.

- Start by opening the shortcuts app.

- Tap ‘create shortcut’ or tap the plus icon from the top right.

- Search for ‘open app’ from the bottom search bar and then select the ‘open app’ action from the list.

- Now where it says ‘choose’ , tap that and then select the app you want to customize.

- Now that you’ve chosen the app to open, tap the 3 dots button at the top right of the screen.

- Give the shortcut a name and then tap the ‘add to home screen’ button.

- This is what the app icon is going to appear like on the homepage of your phone.

- Give it a name, and then tap on the icon to change it.

- I’ve already prepared an image to use, you can download one from the internet or use any of your own photos as the icon.

- Once you’ve chosen the image you can pinch and zoom in or out to crop the image. Once you’re done tap ‘choose’ from the bottom right.

- To save it to your home screen, tap ‘add’ from the top left of the screen.

- That shortcut is now added to your home screen.

- Exit out of the shortcuts app and take a look at the new custom app. When you tap the custom icon it will run the shortcut which opens the app. The original app will still be visible somewhere but you can hide that in a folder or on a different page.

- You can repeat this trick for every app you have and create some cool color schemes or designs.
