How to Defeat the Final Boss (Raven Beak) - FULL GUIDE - METROID DREAD | Nintendo YouTuber
Metroid Dread’s final boss Raven Beak has a similar move set to Samus, making this 1:1 fight a test of your fastest skills. Note that often damaging the final boss is not that important, but instead, triggering his cutscenes which allow you to counter his attacks moves you through the fight. This fight is mostly about learning to dodge attacks and not take damage until you have a chance to enter a cutscene.

Throughout this fight, you should fire missiles at the boss. We’ve tried Cluster Missiles and regular missiles, it doesn’t seem to make much difference, and locking on might hinder your all-important dodging. Again, you want to reduce this boss fight to dodging and triggering cutscenes to do counter attacks.

Final Boss Fight Phase 1: Ground Combat
______________________________________________
The boss slides to attack you, swiping one to three strokes for high damage: Jump and Aeon Shift to his other side, and fire missiles at his back. This has a few variations, but just be ready to dash away.
The boss puts up a force field type attack that closes in on his body: Aeon Shift to get in very close, then when he finishes filling the room with the attack (radiation?) Shift over his head to the other side and shoot at his back.

Another room attack he does is to fill the entire top of the room with pink radiation: This is a key counter point: Duck to avoid the radiation and BE READY to counter. Counter him and you’ll be able to pump him with missiles. And get powerups!
If the fight goes on long enough, the boss will perform a taunt: Run very, very close to him and press towards him while being ready to counter.

Final Boss Fight Phase 2: The Boss Grows Wings, Air Combat
_______________________________________________________________
In this phase, the final boss will grow wings and start a new attack run. There are no counter attacks here, so in this case damage matters, but also, the boss is kind of a sponge, so it’s going to be a long phase no matter what. It’s really about dodging. You can get Cluster Missile or regular Missile shots in after some attacks. Here are the main attacks:

The boss pulls out a gun with a red laser beam: Gravity Jump and around the boss and Dash above and below him to avoid the beam. You may get a missile shot in as you fall down his side but focus on avoiding the attack.
If you are in the middle of the room, the boss pulls out a gun and fires ONE BIG SHOT: Aeon Dash under the boss when he pulls out the gun (without the laser site). You can fire missiles into his back while he fires the opposite direction,.
The boss adjusts to your level then dashes across the room, sometimes twice: If the boss moves vertically AT ALL, start Gravity Jumping to avoid this dash attack, which might have a second. After a second dash, which you can dodge by dropping from the air, try to get some hits in.
The boss dashes downwards, slamming the ground: This might happen twice as well. Aeon Dash away and fire back.
After many, many rounds of this, perhaps 100 missiles or more, another cutscene will be triggered, with no countering.

Final Boss Fight Phase 3: Ground Combat, Again
_______________________________________________________________
Back on the ground the final boss has the same old moves, but slightly altered.

New Move - The boss moves to one side of the room and sends a wave of attacks and an energy field that pushes you into a damaging wall your way. You can duck, jump, or double-jump over all of these while running to the right. Just hold RIGHT and tap jump like a bad version of Guitar Hero.
Returning Move (IMPORTANT) - The boss retreats, moving to one side of the level: Retreat to the far side of the room from him. Here two things can happen, both extremely helpful to your countering strategy:
In one permutation, the boss sends out a NEW SUN LIKE, slow moving projectile that cannot be locked on to. You will have to Gravity Jump in the air to avoid its projectiles and the bosses big beam. There is no easy way to do this, just bounce in the air until he fires and drop.
In the other permutation, so ONCE AGAIN ALWAYS be ready to counter, when he moves to the far side of the room, he’ll do a dash attack that you can counter. Counter it and pump him with missiles. Counter his attack two times and you’ll trigger another of his two-counter attack sequences. This will end the fight.
