tutor here with another step-by-step
tutorial
and in today's video i'm just going to
show you how you can go ahead and close
your spotify account
to do this it's similar to the snapchat
in
in the fact that you can't actually use
the app to close your account
what you're gonna have to do is be a pc
and you can also use your mobile
internet as well to close your account
but not the actual
spotify app so the first thing you need
to do is open up your browser
and come across to spotify.com
and once you're here just go ahead and
log into your account
so i've just logged in what i'm gonna do
what you need to do first of all is go
ahead
and click the support button at the top
of the screen here
and on this screen you need to click in
the search bar
and you need to type close your account
and this will bring up a list of options
underneath you need to actually
click on the top one close your account
if you've got a premium subscription
with spotify and you want to
stop paying and just use the free
version instead
what you can do is click the first link
here see it says got premium and there's
a link there which says contact customer
support
if you're if you've just got the free
version and you want to close down your
account permanently yourself
what you need to do is go ahead and
click this one here which says close
your account
now what's going to happen that's going
to take you across to this page
and what you need to do is click onto
account
now on the next page you want to go to
the third option down
which says i want to close my account
and give that a click
so it's going to give you two options
here so you can either close your
account down fully
which it just tells you what's going to
happen if you close your account down
just bear in mind if you do close your
account down the username that you
signed up with you will not be able to
use again
with spotify if you did want to go ahead
and activate spotify again
set up a new account with them and if
you've just come across this by
some completely big mistake then
it's giving you the option here to keep
your free account
once you're happy you just click and
click on the close account obviously if
you want to do that what that's going to
do is close your account and delete it
permanently if you've made a big mistake
and you've somehow ended up on this page
and you don't want to delete your
spotify account all you need to do is go
ahead and click the keep free account
button now
