In this video I will show you how to delete your Telegram account. Deleting your Telegram account also permanently removes all your messages and contacts. This guide will allow you to delete your Telegram account on all devices such as Android, iPhone/iPad (iOS), PC, Linux, and MacOS.

Steps To Delete Your Telegram Account:
1. Open your Telegram application on your device
2. Tap or click on the three vertical lines at the top left hand corner
3. Tap on Settings
4. Scroll down to "Help" and tap on "Telegram FAQ" to be taken to the general FAQ page https://telegram.org/faq
5. Scroll down to "Your Account" and tap on "Delete your Telegram account" to be taken to the following FAQ https://telegram.org/faq#q-how-do-i-delete-my-account
6. Tap on the hyperlink text which says "deactivation page" to be taken here https://my.telegram.org/auth?to=delete
7. Make sure you open the deactivation page in a browser of your choice. To make sure you're doing so, tap on the three vertical dots at the top right hand corner and tap on "Open in Browser/Browser Name"
8. Enter your phone number in international format and tap on "Next"
9. Telegram will now send you a confirmation code to your Telegram application (Not by SMS). Once you have received the confirmation code, copy it and paste it into the confirmation code box on https://my.telegram.org/auth?to=delete
10. Tap on "Sign in"
11. Tap on "Delete My Account"
12. Tap on "Yes, delete my account".
Congratulations, you have successfully deleted your Telegram account from Telegrams system.

Q: How do I delete my account?
If you would like to delete your account, you can do this on the deactivation page. Deleting your account permanently removes all your messages and contacts. All groups and channels that you've created are orphaned and left without a creator but admins retain their rights.
This action must be confirmed via your Telegram account and cannot be undone.
We recommend using a non-mobile browser for this process.
Note that you'll receive the code via Telegram, not SMS.
Q: What happens if I delete my account?
As was just mentioned above, all your data will be flushed from our system: all messages, groups, and contacts associated with your account will be deleted. That said, your contacts will still be able to chat in the groups that you have created, and they will still have their copy of the messages you sent them. So if you want to send messages that can vanish without a trace, try using our self-destruct timer instead.
Termination of a Telegram account is irreversible. If you sign up again, you will appear as a new user and will not get your history, contacts or groups back. People, who have your phone number in their contacts, will be notified. The new user will be displayed as a separate conversation in their messages list and their conversation history with this new user will be empty.
