How To Quickly Reformat Your SSD, M.2 NVMe SSD, and HDD In Windows 10 - How To Format Any Drive In Windows

In this video I will show you how to reformat your Solid State Drive (SSD), M.2 NVM Express (NVMe) SSD, and Hard Disk Drive (HDD) In your Windows PC. This formatting guide will also work for USB Flash Drives, MultiMediaCard (MMC), and Secure Digital (SD) cards.

Steps to reformat SSDs, M.2 NVMe SSDs, and HDDs In Windows:

1. Navigate to the bottom left hand corner of your task bar and left click on the search box
2. Type "This PC"
3. This PC application will open and you should now be able to see under Device and drives all your available drives to reformat. Right click on your desired drive to be reformatted and left click on "Format"
4. A small formatting window will open, here you can adjust your formatting options for your selected drive.

Formatting parameters include:
- Capacity = for example 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD
- File system = NTFS (default)
- Allocation unit size = Default allocation size
- Restore device defaults
- Volume label = Drive name
- Format options: Quick Format = uncheck or leave check marked

5. Once you have adjusted your reformatting options, left click on "Start" to begin the drive reformatting.
6. The formatting is completed, once the green progress bar fills and you're greeted with a small info window which says "Format Complete"

Congratulations, you have successfully reformatted your drive!
