How To Disable CHKDSK On Startup
This tutorial will show how to disable automatic disk checking CHKDSK every-time Windows 10 starts up (also referred to as check disk) . This will also work for users of Windows 7 and Windows 8 as well.
1st Command: fsutil dirty query c:
2nd Command: chkntfs /x c
* Please note that the "c" may be swapped out for different drives depending on how your drives are named on your computer and/or which drives are causing the error.
CHKDSK is one of the important command line utilities that is designed to repair errors that usually appear in the hard disk drive. In Windows you can run the chkdsk command manually by simply entering the command chkdsk in the elevated command prompt. Since chkdsk cannot check for the errors while the system is still running, Windows configures it to run when you boot your system the next time.
