In this video I'll show you how to disable full-screen previews for screenshots on your Apple iPhone or iPad. And to be clear, this option will only be available if you're using iOS 26 or newer on your Apple device.

Step 1. Tap to open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, and then tap "General" in this menu.
Step 2. Tap "Screen Capture" in this list of options.
Step 3. Tap to toggle off "Full-Screen Previews." Going forward, whenever you take a screenshot you'll go back to see a temporary thumbnail in the lower-left corner of your iPhone or iPad screen.
