How to Download a Game from Xbox App on Phone to Console (Settings Tutorial)
2To download a game from the Xbox app on your phone to your console, follow these steps:
Enable Remote Features on Your Xbox Console:
Sign in to your console using the same Xbox profile you’ll be using on your mobile or PC app.
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to Profile & system - Settings - Devices & connections - Remote features.
Check the box to enable remote features. Make sure your console is set to Sleep mode for this to work even when you’re not physically there to turn it on.
Name Your Console (Optional):
Giving your console a unique name helps identify it in your app, especially if you have multiple consoles.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then go to Profile & system - Settings - System - Console info.
Select Name and enter a name using only letters, numbers, and hyphens. Restart your console after naming it.
Choose Your App:
Xbox App on Mobile:
This app allows you to view games, install them on your console, and uninstall them if needed.
Search for the game you want to download or choose something from the app’s Home screen.
Select Download to console, then choose from the consoles you’ve enabled. Note that you can install games you haven’t bought, but you’ll need to purchase them to play.
To clear space on your console, select the console icon at the top of the Home screen and manage your games.
Xbox Game Pass App on Mobile:
This app lets you view games available through Xbox Game Pass.
Select a game and choose either Console or PC.
Select Install to and choose from the consoles or Windows devices you’ve enabled.
If multiple people are signed in on a Windows device during installation, you might see a “401 Unauthorized” message. Try again later or wait until you’re physically present with the device
