Syncing your Firestick remote to control your TV's volume is straightforward if your remote has volume buttons. Here's how to do it:
Step 1: Confirm Remote Compatibility
Ensure your Firestick remote has volume controls, as earlier versions of the Alexa Voice Remote don’t support this feature.
Step 2: Access Fire TV Settings
Turn on your TV and Firestick.
Navigate to the Home screen.
Go to Settings (gear icon at the top right of the screen).
Step 3: Set Up Equipment Control
In the Settings menu, select Equipment Control.
Choose Manage Equipment - TV.
Select Change TV (or Add TV if none is set up).
Step 4: Detect Your TV
The Firestick will attempt to detect your TV brand automatically.
If it doesn’t detect it, you’ll be prompted to select your TV brand manually.
Scroll through the list to find and select your TV brand.
Step 5: Test Volume Control
