About this video: If you want to know how to download and install FTB modpacks using the new Feed The Best Launcher, this is the video for you! We show you exactly how to get FTB modpacks without the Twitch app in order to make sure you can keep playing FTB no matter what. This is done by using the Feed The Beast's own launcher bypassing Twitch completely. This also means that you will always get updates on your Feed The Beast modpacks because you are using FTB's Launcher not someone else's. Thus, without any further delay, here is how you can download and install FTB modpacks with the Feed The Beast Launcher.
Step one of getting FTB modpacks is downloading the FTB Launcher. You can find the link the official #FTB launcher in the description above. Once you are there, click on the download button under the 'Windows' section. This will download the Feed The Beast launcher for Windows. You may need to save this file, but most likely you won't need to do that.
After you have the Feed The Beast Launcher downloaded, it is time to install it. The good news is that installing the FTB launcher is super easy. All you need to do is double click on it, and it will open up an installer setup where you just want to click 'Apply'. When you do that, it will automatically start installing the Feed The Beast launcher. This can take a while, but once it is finished, it will automatically open up the FTB Launcher.
Now that you have the FTB Launcher installed, installing an FTB modpack is super easy. Just click on the 'FTB Modpacks' tab in the top of the launcher. Here you will see all of the modpacks that Feed The Beast has ever made. However, before you can play one, we need to login to Minecraft. To do this, click on the 'Select Profile' drop-down box inthe bottom left of the FTB Launcher. Then, click on 'Create Profile. This will open up a login box where you want to enter in the information that you would use to login to the default Minecraft launcher and Minecraft.net. Once you enter in that info, click 'Add'.
At this point, we can click on the FTB Modpack we want to install on the 'FTB #Modpacks' tab. Then, click the 'Launch' button in the bottom right of the launcher. The launcher will then start installing the FTB modpack that you wanted to play. No matter what modpack it is, it will start installing automatically. This process can take some time, but once it is done installing, it will start opening up the modpack.
