How to Empty the Bin of a Dyson V10 Vacuum
3,070Wondering how to empty a Dyson V10 ( https://amzn.to/2Sl0FeZ ) cordless vacuum? It's not entirely obvious, is it? Here is how you empty the new Dyson!
The new, 2018 Dyson V10 has move to a direct "in-line" bin which empties vertically instead of horizontally. This makes aiming the drop very easy plus you can actually lower the vacuum in the trash bin before opening, but the new system takes some practice.
To open the V10 and empty the bin you need to: remove any cleaning tools or extension pieces, then put the vacuum over the bin. Firmly press the red tab on the underside of the clear waste receptacle. It push open DOWNWARD after a second, keep pushing until you hear a distinct "click" and the front of the bin opens. This will let everything inside fall out.
To close the bin just push the door shut and then put then clear plastic component back into place!
