π How to Enable and Use Clipboard History on Windows 11 Laptop or Desktop PC π
π Want to access and manage multiple items copied to your clipboard? Windows 11 has a Clipboard History feature that allows you to view, pin, and paste items you've copied. Hereβs how to enable and use it:
Steps to Enable Clipboard History in Windows 11:
Open Settings
Click on the Start menu and select Settings, or press Windows + I to open the Settings app.
Go to System
In the Settings window, select System from the left sidebar.
Select Clipboard
Scroll down and click on Clipboard in the System settings.
Enable Clipboard History
Find the Clipboard history option and toggle it On. This allows you to keep a record of the text and images you've copied, up to 25 items.
Using Clipboard History:
Access Clipboard History
Press Windows + V to open the Clipboard History panel. Here, youβll see the items youβve copied recently.
Paste an Item
Click on any item in the Clipboard History panel to paste it where your cursor is located.
Pin Items
Hover over an item and click the pin icon to keep it in your clipboard history even after restarting your computer. Pinned items wonβt be automatically deleted as newer items are copied.
Clear Clipboard History
In the Clipboard settings, click Clear under Clear clipboard data to remove all clipboard items, except pinned ones. You can also clear individual items by selecting the trash icon next to each item in the Clipboard History panel.
Tips:
Copy Multiple Items: Clipboard History allows you to switch between multiple copied items without losing any, which can boost productivity.
Sync Clipboard: If you want to access your Clipboard History across devices, enable Sync across devices in the Clipboard settings. Youβll need to sign in with your Microsoft account.
