πΌοΈ How to Adjust Window and Image Scaling in Windows 11 on Laptop or Desktop PC πΌοΈ
π Want to make text, apps, and images easier to see on your Windows 11 laptop or desktop? Adjusting the scaling settings can improve readability and make the interface more comfortable for your eyes. Here's how to configure window and image scaling:
Steps to Adjust Window and Image Scaling in Windows 11 on Laptop or Desktop PC:
Open Display Settings
Click on the Start button and select Settings, or press Windows + I to open the Settings menu.
Go to Display Settings
In the Settings menu, click on System, then select Display.
Adjust Scaling for Text, Apps, and Other Items
Under the Display section, look for the Scale & Layout section.
Youβll see a dropdown menu under Scale. Choose a scaling percentage (typically 100%, 125%, or 150%) to adjust the size of text, apps, and images.
Select a value that fits your screen size and makes everything more readable for you.
Advanced Scaling Settings (Optional)
If the preset scaling options arenβt ideal, you can click Advanced scaling settings and enter a custom scaling percentage (between 100% and 500%). This allows you to fine-tune the size of elements on your screen.
Adjust Scaling for Multiple Displays (if applicable)
If youβre using more than one monitor, you can adjust the scaling settings individually for each display. Click on the monitor you want to configure, and then adjust the Scale settings for that screen.
Adjust Image Scaling for Better Quality
In some apps, like image editors or web browsers, you can also manually adjust the image scaling. Right-click on an image or photo and select Open with to choose an app with scaling options or simply zoom in and out using Ctrl + Mouse Scroll.
Tips:
Use Higher Scaling for Larger Displays: On larger monitors or if you have trouble reading small text, use a higher scaling percentage to make everything easier to see.
Custom Scaling for Specific Needs: For users with visual impairments, adjusting the scaling can make using the computer much easier. You can also combine scaling with text size adjustments under Accessibility settings.
π‘ Tip: Remember that changing the scaling settings may require logging out or restarting apps to apply changes.
