πŸ”‘ Want to control where your audio plays from? Whether it's your speakers, headphones, or another output device, Windows 11 gives you the flexibility to select your preferred audio output. Here’s how to choose and manage your sound playback devices:

Steps to Choose Where to Play Sounds From in Windows 11 on Laptop or Desktop PC:
Open Sound Settings

Click on the Start button, then select Settings, or press Windows + I to open the Settings menu.
Go to Sound Settings

In the Settings menu, click on System, then choose Sound.
Choose Your Output Device

Under the Output section, you’ll see a list of available audio devices (such as speakers, headphones, Bluetooth devices, etc.).
Click on the device you want to use. The sound will immediately switch to that device.
Select Device for Specific Apps (Optional)

If you want to play sound from different apps on separate devices (e.g., Spotify on headphones and games on speakers), scroll down to Advanced sound options and click on App volume and device preferences.
Here, you can choose a different output device for each app that is currently running.
Manage Audio Output for Different Scenarios

If you're using Bluetooth devices or external speakers, ensure they're connected and selected in the Output section. Windows 11 will automatically switch to the last connected device unless specified otherwise.
Tips:
Quick Switch: You can also quickly switch audio devices by clicking on the speaker icon in the taskbar and selecting the device from the dropdown menu.
Multi-Device Setup: If you have multiple audio devices connected, you can easily switch between them depending on where you want your sound to play.
πŸ’‘ Tip: If you're using Bluetooth devices, make sure they are paired and powered on to appear in the audio output list.
