To enter Director Mode in GTA 5 Story Mode, follow these steps:

Using the Interaction Menu:
On PS4, press and hold the Touchpad to open the Interaction Menu. Scroll down to find and select "Director Mode".
On Xbox One, press and hold the View button to bring up the Interaction Menu. Navigate to and select "Director Mode".
On PC, press the M key to access the Interaction Menu. Scroll down to "Director Mode" and select it.

Using the Rockstar Editor:
Pause the game by pressing the Options button (PS4), Menu button (Xbox One), or Escape key (PC).
Navigate to the "Rockstar Editor" tab.

Scroll down to "Director Mode" and select it.
Using In-Game Phone (for PS4, Xbox One, PC):
Open your character's phone by pressing Up on the D-pad (consoles) or T key (PC).

Go to the Contacts list and find "Acting Up" or "Los Santos Talent". Select this contact to directly enter Director Mode.
