How To Find Task Manager In Windows 11 [Tutorial]

On Windows 11, Microsoft has removed the Task Manager option from the taskbar context menu, making it a little more difficult for users to access the experience.

Although the OS includes many different ways to access Task Manager, perhaps the most common method has always been right-clicking the taskbar and selecting the “Task Manager” option. However, starting with Windows 11, the taskbar includes a new context menu that only has an option to access the feature’s settings page in the Settings app.

Everyone knows that to open Task Manager in Windows 11, you need to right-click the taskbar and select Task Manager. That is the most popular and preferred by many ways to launch Task Manager, as it is available everywhere almost at any time. Apart from providing a shortcut to Task Manager, the taskbar's context menu hosts few more options, such as window management, the ability to turn on/off different buttons, show or hide Cortana, etc. If you are used to those commands in Windows 11, prepare for some radical changes after upgrading to Windows 11.

If you have only used the context menu to open the experience, you can perform the same task from the Start button and menu, Control Panel, Run command, or using a keyboard shortcut.

Windows Task Manager is an extremely useful and powerful tool in Windows that allows you to monitor system resource usages such as CPU, memory, disk, and bandwidth for running applications, background processes, and Windows processes. It is also most popularly used for ending applications that may be frozen or cannot be closed for some other reasons.

Task Manager is usually accessed by right-clicking the Taskbar and selecting ‘Task Manger’ from the menu. But if you have upgraded to Windows 11 and tried to open Task manager from the right-click menu of the Taskbar, you would be surprised to find there’s no such option from the taskbar menu anymore.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 11 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung.
