How to Fix Analog Stick Drift on your Xbox One Controller from Moving By itself (Easy Method)
If you want to take apart your Xbox One controller to fix the stick drift, you can follow this video4 which provides a step-by-step guide on how to disassemble an Xbox One controller and fix a joystick drift problem. The steps are:
Remove the back plates and the battery case sticker to access the screws.
Break the tabs on the safety screws with a flat head screwdriver and a hammer, and then unscrew them with a star head screwdriver.
Take off the back plate and the front plate, and clean the inside of the controller.
Pop off the joysticks and check the tabs on the sensors. If they are loose or out of place, gently wiggle them back in.
Clean the joysticks with rubbing alcohol and let them dry.
Put the joysticks back on, and reassemble the controller by reversing the steps.
Test the controller and make sure the buttons and joysticks work properly.
