How to Fix Stick Drift on PS5 Controller by Opening (Clean & Repair)
To fix stick drift on your PS5 controller, you can follow these steps:
First, turn off your PS5 controller.
Remove the faceplate of the controller by prying it off with a flat tool.
Remove the R1 and L1 buttons by popping them off with a screwdriver.
Remove the screws on the back of the controller and open it up.
Disconnect the battery and the microphone by pulling them off gently.
Lift the board and remove the thumbstick that is causing problems.
Open the sensor and clean it with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip.
Put the sensor back and close it with a click.
Reattach the thumbstick, the board, the ribbon cables, the back plate, the middle screw, and the battery.
Put the R1 and L1 buttons, the four screws, and the faceplate back on the controller
