How to fix cymbal responsiveness issues with a Guitar Hero or Band Hero drum kit

This video will show you how to fix yellow and orange cymbal pad responsiveness issues on a Guitar Hero or Band Hero drum kit (note that this applies to both the drum kit with round circular cymbals that shipped with Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock or Band Hero, but ESPECIALLY the drum kit with triangle, pie-wedge-shaped cymbals which shipped with Guitar Hero 4: World Tour, whether it be for Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2), Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3), Microsoft Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii).
For those who would rather read an article than watch a video: You may have noticed responsiveness issues with the yellow and orange cymbal pads (missed or dropped notes despite having hit the note indicators on time) during gameplay. Chances are the thumbscrews holding the cymbals to their support arms are tightened too tightly, not allowing for sufficient cymbal travel for the hit sensors to capture drumstick strikes accurately. This can be easily remedied by simply unscrewing the cymbal thumb screws, lifting the cymbals so that the top if the coloured rubber bladders line up flush with the top of the support pipes of the support arms, once again lowering the cymbals down so that the cymbals rest on the base support platform discs of their support arms, and then screwing on the thumbscrews ONLY until the thumb screw fasteners make contact with the colored rubber bladders, at which point the thumbscrews are sufficiently tightened.
Note that although loosening the cymbal thumbscrews frequently remedy the issues caused by over-tightening, this is not to say that the thumbscrews do not serve a purpose altogether. Without applying the thumbscrews, excessive vibration of the cymbals (when struck) will lead to inaccuracy during gameplay, and furthermore, the coloured rubber bladders can vibrate off of and out of their cymbal support ports, causing the unsupported cymbals to flop about uselessly.
