NOTICE: The first part of this video covers how media files are structured on the Micro SD card and how to access the Micro SD card through computer card reader. To jump to the section covering USB cable file transfer connection method, advance (fast forward) the video to 7:50.
This video will show you how to transfer captured digital pictures (digital photographs) and captured video from your Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660M (or Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830D) Android 2.3 GingerBread SmartPhone to your computer, as well as how to transfer digital audio (such as music MP3 files) from your computer onto this Samsung Galaxy device, either through use of the micro SD card and a card reader, or through using the mobile phone itself along with the micro USB charge cable to create a removable disk USB mass storage device. All this can be done without the installation of specific drivers to your computer, and without the need to install the Samsung Kies software and app. Essentially, one has to only ensure that in their Android operating system, that Settings - Applications - Development - USB Debugging is unchecked (this option is checked by default) before connecting their Galaxy cellphone to their computer via the micro-USB charge cable, and once the cell is connected via USB charge cable to their computer, one has to simply use the notifications garage door top-down pulldown menu to enable USB mass storage to interface their handy with their computer.
