How to FIX Microphone Not Working in Windows 10 (100% Working Solution)
0In this tutorial video, I will quickly guide you on how you can fix if your microphone is not working in Windows 10.
If your microphone is not responding or not recording any type of audio, that is usually the driver's problem. So in order to fix that make sure you're using the latest version of windows. To check that you're using the latest version of windows go to your search bar and type in check for updates you will select the first option check for updates in the settings windows will show you whether you're up to date or not with your updates as you can see that I am actually always up to date with my windows update so I don't have any problems in my microphones or my audio drivers if there is an update for you click on view optional updates install the update restart your computer and see if the solution has worked for you if that solution didn't work for you the next solution for you is to go to your device manager and search for sounds so go to the search bar and type in device manager here you should select sound video and game controller simply click on it and select the second option which is called real tech audio or whichever drivers you have installed for your pc. Simply right-click on it and select update driver in order to update your driver to the latest version then again restart your pc and your microphone should actually be working just fine if this solution worked for you then that is perfectly fine but it didn't work for you then again you can try the last solution which is to go to your sounds icon at the bottom right and click on troubleshoot sound problems
Here let the windows do its own thing and wait for a while it will ask you if it can run a quick scan to try to find a solution simply click on yes so it is going to take a moment to scan your device during the scan it will try to play a test on using your audio device so make sure you don't type anything during the wait because it may disrupt the scan as you can see it is currently asking did you hear the sound beep that just played if you heard it you can click on yes and your microphone and your audio drivers are actually just fine if you didn't hear it just like me then simply click on no and wait while windows try to do something more other than just troubleshooting.
As you can see it will ask you for your permission to try to update the drivers to fix the problem when this happens it is usually actually only the driver's problem so there is no need for you to go to a repair shop and waste your money on all of this thing you can simply fix this problem at your home so simply click on yes while the windows try to update the driver and restart the computer and that should 100 fix the problem for you.
