Step 1. Open a web browser, and then open DSM.

Step 2. Click "Control Panel" on your DSM home screen.

Step 3. Navigate to the System section, and then click "Login Portal." The associated screen opens.

Step 4. Navigate to the Web Services section, and then click to place a check mark next to "Automatically redirect HTTP connection to HTTPS for DSM desktop," and then click "Save." Going forward, whenever you log into Synology DSM, you'll automatically be redirected to HTTPS.
