Step 1. Open a web browser, and then open the Synology DiskStation Manager, or DSM.

Step 2. Click the silhouette icon at the top of the screen. A menu opens.

Step 3. Click "Shut Down" in this menu. A window opens asking if you're sure you want to shut down your Synology NAS.

Step 4. Click "OK." Your Synology NAS will be shut down immediately.
