This video will show you how to unstick a stuck fan vent selector on a Toyota vehicle during the cold winter months. In this example, my 2001 Toyota Echo had its fan vent selector indicator stuck in one position of the dial (in other instances I've also noted this lever being stuck in a quadrant of the dial, such as windshield, windshield + foot, foot, foot + facing, or just facing vents)

What to do in this situation is NOT to force the dial but rather to simply leave the dial stuck for the time being. With that, run the vehicle for 15-20 minutes with the heat blasting on maximum and the fan going, and after time this vent selector should become unstuck
