In this video I review a smartphone tripod mount (a mounting device reported to also support standard cell phones) which I purchased off of a Chinese reseller for under $2 shipped. It features an extensible clamp, a foam base and a rubberized dimpled support at the top of the spring clamp. With a standard sized screw hole for a tripod mount, it can support any reasonable dimension of smartphone or cellphone, provided it is no wider than 3 inches wide and no smaller than 2.5 inches wide. With resistance from the spring clamp, this mount should hold a smartphone in place and allow it to be mounted to a standard tripod to aid in video recording and digital still photo (picture) capturing.
