In this beginners guide tutorial I discuss and try and fix the problem and error where server owners remove or change the
usage name="ContaminatedArea"
tag for the containers code entry in your DayZ Community Servers mapgroupproto.xml file.

I show that with this line commented out, on a freshly wiped / installed server, weapons, guns and military loot do in fact spawn in the containers, with actually more weapons spawning in than before.

The problem could be that you haven't left enough time for the server to populate the containers with loot, or that you have introduced an error somewhere during the coding and editing process, so I show you some simple fault-finding tools and techniques to hopefully fix this.

If you've got a PC that can just about run DayZ, it's well worth installing a local server, as it allows to you to practice installing your mods, check them, and fix them, in a much quicker way than doing it on a remote PC, PlayStation or Xbox DayZ community server.
