how about a recipe for a homemade lasagna? it may seem simple, but it requires some time and effort to make it delicious!

here's what you'll need:
9 lasagna noodles
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 cups ricotta cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

instructions:
Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion is softened.
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
To assemble the lasagna, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Place three lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of the meat sauce on top.
Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the lasagna. Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the lasagna from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with the chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Enjoy your homemade lasagna! It may take some time, but the delicious layers of pasta, meat sauce, and cheese will be worth it.
