How to Get Extra Empty Bottles Method #1 (Glitch) - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
7＊WARNING＊ Depending on which item you replace this can be permanent, so be careful! Also, this glitch can't be done this way in the 3DS version. For one that does work with the 3DS version then see the link below.
This glitch can be performed to replace any item with an Empty Bottle. Also the uses for the extra bottles are limited to an extent. If you replace an item that can only be used at a certain age then that bottle will only be usable at that same age. Also, you can neither buy things to put in the extra bottles, nor will a fairy in them automatically revive you.
To perform this glitch attempt to catch something in a bottle (like a bug) then pause the game mid-swing and replace the bottle you just used with the item that you want to get rid of. If you time it properly you'll get an extra bottle, if your timing is off then simply try again.
