In Delfino Plaza there is an island that you need to get Yoshi to in order to clean the yellow goop off of the pipe. Normally you'd use the boats, but doing it that way is long & tedious. In this video I show how to reach the island without using the boats by using a glitch to clip through a wall and then walking underneath the level. There are various different places throughout Delfino Plaza that allow you to clip through walls. I'll do my best to explain how to clip through the particular wall that I use in this video. Additionally there is another glitch that can be used with this one that allows you to essentially carry a fruit for later use so that you can refill Yoshi's fruit timer 1 time without actually being near any fruit. This can be useful in case you run out of fruit when you're headed to the island. A link to a video showing how to perform this glitch can be found at the bottom of this description.

Grab Yoshi then head to the building near the fruit stands that has the 2 guards standing in front of it. Jump on top of the building so that you're stand on the green part of the roof. If you look toward the front of the "tower" part of the building that comes out of the green roof you'll see it has a couple of corners. What you want to do is jump against this tower and press "X" to drop Yoshi roughly in line with the first corner. The goal of this is to get Yoshi to fall behind the wall. When you get Yoshi behind the wall, stand against the wall & try to jump onto him. This will hopefully cause Mario to clip through the wall.

It might take a number of tries to get this right because if Yoshi is too close to the front of the building then you won't clip it when you jump onto him. Instead you'll just be pushed back onto the normal side the building. If, however, Yoshi is too far away from the front wall then you won't be close enough to jump onto him and therefore can't clip the wall. If this happens you'll have to wait for Yoshi to die, grab another one, & try again.

Once you successfully get Yoshi behind the wall and jump on him so that Mario clips through the wall you'll want to run forward (careful not to run left because you'll hit the entrance to the secret course that's behind the doors of the building instead). By running forward you'll drop down onto some blue ground down below.

While on this ground you'll need to continuously jump because if you spend too much touching the ground (either by standing still or by running) you'll automatically die. Hop around while looking around for the island and head toward it once you find it. When you're no longer underneath the main Delfino island (you might need to guess when that actually is) you'll want to jump up high so that you clip through the ocean floor. If you successfully do that you'll find yourself walking around underwater & unlike the blue ground, the ocean floor is safe.

If you get too close to the island while still hopping on the blue ground your movements have a tendency to become sticky and you might end up dying because of this. This stickiness also seems to happen if you jump too high while you're underneath some parts of the main Delfino island so if you find that you keep getting stuck then try jumping less high.

While you're underwater it's best to not jump because if you jump over the waterline and then fall back down Yoshi will drown. Calmly walk over to the island and spray the yellow goop when you reach the pipe. This pipe will lead you to a secret course where you ride a lily pad on a poisonous river trying to get 8 Red Coins. There's another video linked below that shows how to reach the island by jumping from Delfino Plaza to the tower in the middle of the ocean. This lets you bypass 1 of the 2 boats although it requires a bit of a tricky jump.
