How to Guide for Machinist in FFXIV Heavenwsard - First Impressions and First Look - 1080p 60fps
The FF14 Heavensward release is finally here, was it worth the wait? My tips for how to get started with Machinist in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward. This guide goes into how to start playing Machinist, and how the first few abilities work.
Whether you're a returning player, currently playing or completely fresh to this fantastic MMO from Square Enix, this video sums up all you need to know to get going in the first FFXIV expansion.
This Video contains some 1080p, 60fps footage from both the PC and PS4 version of the game.
In Heavensward, the new expansion to Final Fantasy XXIV, the previously sealed gates to Ishgard will open to the inhabitants of Eorzea as the Dragonsong War worsens.
This bloody thousand-year conflict between the dragoons of Ishgard and the sentient dragons of Dravania seeks the support of new adventurers to bring an end to the
struggle. Heavensward will expand the playable area of the game into additional parts of Eorzea, beyond the Coerthas Central Highlands and in to the skies above the Sea of Clouds and the floating landmasses therein.
Owing to schemes in the shadows of Ul'dah, the Scions of the Seventh Dawn have been scattered, and the Warrior of Light has been forced to flee North.
Through granted shelter by Lord Haurchefant, our heroes must press on to Ishgard. But what trials await in this reclusive nation, locked in a never-ending struggle with dragons? Come what may, they must not falter, lest the light of hope be forever extinguished.
The new storyline will revolve around The Dragonsong War and the conflict between The Wyrmking and Thordan and his Knights Twelve. New details and expansions on the original game's storyline will also be revealed such as Bahamut's history about how he was summoned and captured. New primals will include Bismark, worshipped by the
Vanu Vanu Beastmen and Ravana, worshipped by the Gnath Beastmen.
The expansion will also bring players countless new features and content to explore as they make their way through the new areas and storyline. One of the most prevalent
new features will be the addition of three new jobs: Dark Knight (tank), Astrologian (healer) and Machinist (DPS) as well as a new playable race: Au Ra.
Another feature that will be immediately noticable is an increase in the level cap from 50 to 60 for all crafting and gathering classes in addition to new gear and recipes.
Crafting classes will now have a specialist system, collectable system, scripts and other new mechanics. Gathering classes will now be able to enjoy regional folklore, a favor system and a delivery system as well as scrips and new mechanics.
Members of Free Companies will be able to attend workshops for the construction of airships and houses and getting around will be much easier thanks to the introduction of
flying mounts. Seven different options are expected starting from a Black Chocobo and ranging up to a single-rider airship, Dragon and Gryphon Mount.
Initially, eight new dungeons will await players as well as new raids. A new eight-player Raid, Alexander will be released two weeks after the official launch of
Heavensward with a 'savage' mode of the raid available another two weeks after that.
The new content will all take place in a new region and 4th city-state: The Holy See of Ishgard. Zones within Ishgard will include Ishgard: Foundation and Ishgard: The
Pillars. Beyond that, new areas will include Coerthas Western Highlands, Dravanian Forelands, Dravanian Hinterlands, The Churning Mists, The Sea of Clouds, Floating Continent and the Chocobo Forest.
