Steps:

Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to open up the quick panel.

Then swipe to the right until you see the mobile data button.

Tap on the mobile data button to switch mobile data on, when it is on the button will be blue.

To switch mobile data off just tap the button again, when mobile data is off the button will be grey.
