To join a server in Minecraft first you need the connection details. There are many websites that lists them. I will leave a link in the description for the one I used for this video. As you can see here, there are two types of details. Each different for each Minecraft version you are using. You can distinguish which version you have based on how the menus look.
Okay so for Minecraft Bedrock edition go to Play. Servers, Add Server and input the details from the website. Give it a name. You can give it the name you found or one of your own. Then Add and Play. You will get into the server. The servers you have added will appear in the servers tab here.

Okay, now for Minecraft Java Edition go to Multiplayer, Add Server, Give it what name you want, and paste the adress from the website. Done. I hope this video helped.
