How to Make Microsoft Word the Default App for All File Types in Windows 11
Here's a tutorial on how to set Microsoft Word as the default application in Windows 11:
1.Click on the Windows icon on your taskbar to open the Start menu.
2.Type "default apps" in the search bar and click on the "Default apps settings" option.
3.Scroll down until you find the "Set defaults by app" option and click on it.
4.Locate Microsoft Word in the list of installed apps and click on it.
5.Click on "Set this program as default" to set Microsoft Word as the default app for all file types that it supports.
6.Alternatively, you can click on "Choose defaults for this program" to select specific file types that you want Microsoft Word to be the default app for.
7.Once you've made your selections, click on "Save" to apply the changes.
From now on, any file type that Microsoft Word supports will open automatically in Microsoft Word when you double-click on it.
