The first step of improving your Minecraft 1.15.2 performance is pretty simple. You need to add Optifine to Minecraft. Now, we can starting fixing the #Lag we have in Minecraft 1.15.2. The first step of this actually starts in the Minecraft launcher before we ever even get in game. From the main page of the Minecraft launcher, we need to click on the ‘installations’ tab. After that, we need to find the Optifine installation we setup, hover over it, click the three dots that pop-up on it, and click ‘edit’. This will open up the installation editor for Minecraft. Here, you want to click on more options, and under the ‘JVM Arguments’ section find where it says ‘2G’. This is how much RAM you have dedicated to Minecraft. We recommend upping this to ‘4G’. In doing this, you will have dedicated 4GB of RAM to Minecraft.
At this point, we can save, and launch Minecraft with Optifine. There is one more thing that you can do even with vanilla Minecraft though, and that is disable your resource packs. There are high-resolution resource packs that will cause lag in Minecraft 1.15.2, so be sure you have default textures running to get the most lag-free Minecraft 1.15.2 experience as possible. The rest of our optimizations are going to be done in Minecraft using Optfine.
Luckily, the rule of thumb here is that everything either needs to be on the off setting, fast setting, or turned all the way to zero. If you do this through most of the settings you will be setup for no lag in Minecraft 1.15.2. The one exception to this is the ‘Performance’ tab. This tab actually needs every thing turned on as all of these are performance enhancements designed to get you more #FPS in Minecraft 1.15.2.
At this point, you can jump in-game and you will see an incredible performance increase in Minecraft. You now know how to fix lag in Minecraft 1.15.2.
