About this video: In this video, we show you exactly how to make a SkyFactory 4 server. We cover every step of getting SkyFactory added to a Minecraft server. From downloading the server files for #SkyFactory4 to port forwarding in order to let your friends join your SkyFactory 4 #Server, it is all cover in-depth in this tutorial. We even show you how to download and install the SkyFactory 4 modpack as you need the modpack installed in order to join your server. Thus, without any more delay. Here is how to make a SkyFactory 4 server and play SkyFactory 4 with your friends!
First and foremost, we need to download the Twitch App and install the SkyFactory 4 modpack. You can find our tutorial for downloading and install the Twitch app above. Once you have the Twitch app installed, open the mods tab, click on Minecraft, click the install button if it appears. Then, browse all modpacks and search for ‘SkyFactory 4’. Install it, and you are done. Now, we can create a SkyFactory 4 server!
Before we can make and join our SkyFactory 4 server, we need to download the SkyFactory 4 server files. You can find a link the official SkyFactory 4 server files in the description above. Once you are there, click on the most recent version of SkyFactory 4. Then, scroll down the page, and you will see a with the words ‘server files’ in it. Click the purple download link to the right of these files. You will automatically be taken to a page where your download will being in 5 seconds.
After you have the SkyFactory 4 server files downloaded, it is time to use them in order to start a Minecraft server. Luckily, SkyFactory 4 makes this super easy. Just right click on the file you downloaded, click extract, and the confirm the extraction in the next window. Once it is finished you will have a folder. Open that folder, and you will have another folder. Drag that to your desktop.
Open this folder, and double click the ‘Install.bat’ file. This will take a few minutes to fully run. Once it is finished, double click on the ‘ServerStart.bat’ file. This how you will start your server. The first time you start it though, it will fail. However, you will have a new ‘EULA.txt’ file. Open this file, and change ‘EULA=false"’ to ‘EULA=true’. Save the file, and then, double click the ‘ServerStart.bat’. Your SkyFactory 4 server will now start.
At this point, you can join your SkyFactory 4 server. However, in order for your friends to play SkyFactory 4 with you, you will need to forward port ‘25565’. We have an in-depth tutorial on port forwarding linked above. We also show you exactly how to do this on your SkyFactory 4 server.
