About this video: If you want to make Minecraft realistic, this is the video for you! We show you the mods, resource packs, and shaders that you need to make Minecraft look as close to real life as possible. These include realistic Minecraft mods like No Cubes and Serene Seasons and realistic Minecraft texture packs and shaders packs like Modern Arch R and MakeUp Ultra Fast Shaders. Once you are done with this video, you will have a super realistic looking Minecraft, so let's jump on into it!
First things first, you will want to get shaders in order to increase the realism in Minecraft. Truthfully, it really doesn’t matter which shaders pack that you go with as all of them add some kind of realism to Minecraft. In this video, we are using MakeUp Ultra Fast Shaders as they provide a good mix of performance and shader realism. However, you can find a list of realistic shaders packs in the description above.
From, there we can go over the recommended resource packs. In this video, we use Modern Arch R. However, LB Photo Realism is a very good realistic resource pack as well. Both of these are linked above.
Lastly, we need to look at the most important part of making Minecraft realistic - the mods. There are tons of different mods out there that can add to Minecraft’s realistic look. However, the main one we are using to make Minecraft look like real life is NoCubes. This mod takes all of the straight cubed edges in Minecraft and smoothes them out to create a game that has rounded hills, caves, ocean floors, and more. It really is one of the weirdest Minecraft experiences, and it is a must have to make Minecraft realistic.
Another mod is Serene Seasons. This makes the look of Minecraft change depending on the season that you are in. In the summer things are bright and colorful. In the winter, things are dull. It will also cause snow in biomes that would normally have rain if it is winter. The snow melts in the spring.
Lastly, there is the Survive Mod. This mod makes the Minecraft survival experience more realistic. It adds in things like stamina and thirst to increase Minecraft survival difficulty.
There is also Biomes O’ Plenty and Chunk Animator if you are looking for additional Minecraft mods. However, those aren’t required and don't add a ton of realism.
